[1] Tillinger's appointment as a public vaccinator was terminated in less than a month after he was appointed. The reason given by the Government was that he was to be engaged in a different position, but gave no further details. Tillinger was address as "Mr." in the 1938 Government Gazette.
[2] Tillinger's appointment was categorized as "local", which I interpret as LMSH of HKCMC.
