Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, interned with wife and baby 1941-45, War Memorial Hospital (Wife and baby were most probably interned at Stanley Camp.).

m. Heather Foss, St. John's Cathedal February 3, 1940; d/o Dr. E.V. Foss, of Bristol. Had issue: 1. [s.n.].

[While interned during the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, Tomlinson was invited as a witness at the wedding of Alexander McGregor Mitchell and Amy Matilda Mary Elizabeth Halliday which took place on January 27, 1942 at the St. John's Cathedral.]
